Portman can assist franchise businesses in securing finance under the government backed Enterprise Finance Guarantee which was initiated in January 2009.
The Enterprise Finance Guarantee is a government scheme which has been introduced to support business in the current economic climate. The scheme will be available until March 2010 to businesses with an annual turnover of up to £25million. The government will guarantee 75 per cent of the loan.
The guarantee will be made available to business in most sectors who are finding it increasingly difficult to secure finance. Loans of £1,000 to £1milllion will be accessible to eligible businesses and can be used to support a new loan or refinance an existing loan to create working capital. In addition the ECF guarantee can be used to convert an overdraft in to a loan.
